The Newton has a word processor. With a small hack, it can take handwritten input, effectively making the Newton a portable (obviously) electronic notepad.
(Why not a tablet PC you ask? Well, other than cost... the Newton is 'instant on' and stll has the best handwriting recognition engine on the planet.)
