One of my favourite authors is E. Rossi. He has written a number of articles and books on addressing the continuum of body and mind in psychotherapy. His (IMO) magnum opui (opusses?) are here: Psychobiology of Mind-Body Healing and here: The Psychobiology of Gene Expression. In these texts he discusses the use of a 4-step creativity process in therapy and healing. One of these stages is “incubation” where you let the unconscious boil away at ideas until something emerges in a flash of insight. Now, (in true Bill Cosby fashion) I have told you that story so I can tell you this one:
I have been boiling away at an idea (that I have hinted at in previous posts) about the distance factor in the network, and asking what is this network anyway? Two articles landed on my virtual plate today that have brought this incubation stage to a high boil:
The first is Twitch Speed by Mark Prensky; and the second is E-Learning 2.0 by Stephen Downes.
Take a look... more to come.
